MCU-Basic Education Department Commemorates 83rd Founding Anniversary

The MCU-Basic Education Department marked its 83rd Founding Anniversary with the theme “EmBedDing Centralino Excellence” from October 23 to October 26, 2023. The week-long festivities were a vibrant tapestry of unity, diversity, and talent, encapsulating the spirited essence of the MCU community.

The commemoration commenced with a heartwarming Thanksgiving Mass, setting the stage for a week centered on gratitude and reflection on the rich legacy of MCU. The festivities kicked into high gear with an exhilarating volleyball exhibition, showcasing the athletic prowess of MCU’s talented players.

A highlight of the celebration was the Club Booths Fun Fair Exhibit, where student organizations took center stage, proudly displaying their activities. This not only fostered a sense of community within MCU but also highlighted the diverse interests and talents of the student body. Simultaneously, the Poster Making Contest added a creative flair to the festivities, as Centralinos competed to craft thought-provoking and visually stunning posters.

The week unfolded with the United Nations Celebration, emphasizing global unity and awareness. Events like the “Zero Hunger Program” and Cultural Dance performances further showcased the commitment of MCU to broader societal issues. As Halloween approached, the campus underwent a delightful transformation into a lively Halloween wonderland, complete with adorable cosplays

Culminating in a grand finale, the celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff in a spectacular Culminating Activity, reinforcing the unity that binds the MCU community. The MCU-Basic Education Department’s 83rd Founding Anniversary Celebration not only embodied Centralino excellence but also instilled a deep sense of pride and anticipation for the institution’s promising future. As the week-long festivities concluded, MCU remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing holistic development and fostering a sense of belonging among its students.
