The MCU College of Pharmacy (CPH) marked a new milestone in its internationalization efforts as its students arrived at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for the College’s first-ever outbound student mobility program.
The program represents a significant step in the growing academic partnership between MCU and UKM, providing Centralino pharmacy students with an opportunity to extend their learning beyond the University and experience an international academic environment firsthand.
Throughout the mobility program, the students will be exposed to new perspectives, diverse practices, and different approaches to pharmacy education and healthcare. The experience also provides opportunities for cultural immersion and interaction with students, faculty members, and the academic community at UKM.
Beyond academic learning, the program aims to broaden the students’ understanding of how pharmacy education and practice operate in an international setting. Exposure to a different culture and learning environment can help students develop greater adaptability, cultural awareness, and a broader perspective as they prepare for their future roles as healthcare professionals.
The outbound mobility program also strengthens the partnership between Manila Central University and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, opening avenues for continued academic engagement and collaborative opportunities for students and faculty members.
As the College of Pharmacy begins its first outbound student mobility program, the milestone reflects MCU’s continued commitment to creating global learning opportunities that complement classroom education and prepare Centralinos for an increasingly interconnected healthcare landscape.
