Manila Central University (MCU) successfully hosted the 531st ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Assessment Visit from August 11 to 13, 2026, covering four of the University’s academic programs: Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Medicine, BS Psychology, and BS Medical Technology.
The three-day assessment brought together distinguished AUN-QA Assessors from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, reflecting the spirit of regional collaboration and internationalization in higher education across ASEAN.
Throughout the visit, the assessors engaged with MCU administrators, faculty members, students, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders. These discussions provided opportunities to present the University’s academic practices, learning environments, student support systems, and initiatives that contribute to the continuous development of its programs.
The assessment also provided MCU with an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. Through meaningful exchanges with the AUN-QA Assessors, the University gained valuable perspectives that can contribute to strengthening its academic programs and enhancing the learning experiences of Centralinos.
Hosting the 531st AUN-QA Programme Assessment Visit marks another step in MCU’s continuing efforts to uphold academic excellence, strengthen quality assurance practices, and advance its engagement with the wider ASEAN higher education community.
Through initiatives such as the AUN-QA Programme Assessment, Manila Central University continues to pursue continuous improvement while preparing its academic programs and students for an increasingly interconnected and global learning environment.
