Students from the BA Communication and Basic Education programs of Manila Central University participated in a student site tour at Manila Bulletin, one of the Philippines’ leading newspaper organizations.
The visit provided students with a deeper appreciation of the history of journalism and the role of media institutions in shaping public information. Through guided discussions, students gained insights into how news is gathered, produced, and verified, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and credibility in reporting.
The activity also highlighted the value of responsible communication, reinforcing the role of future communicators and educators in promoting truth, accountability, and informed public discourse.
By engaging with established media institutions, MCU continues to provide students with meaningful exposure to real-world practices, strengthening their understanding of the media industry and preparing them for future careers in communication and education.
