MCU-College of Medicine 75th Foundation Anniversary

MCU College of Medicine continues to triumph over adversity. This year marks the 75th Founding Anniversary of Centralino, with the theme "Key to Centralino's Legacy of Excellence" in living up to its vision. The event took place at the MCU Helix Auditorium on September 7, 2022.

Commemorating the institution's founding anniversary is significant as it reminds students and the MCU-COM community of its humble beginnings. The celebration began with a thanksgiving mass led by Msgr. Ranilo S. Trillana, followed by an opening ceremony aired live on MCU's Facebook Page.

The Committee on Foundation Day's Chair, Dr. Marissa Villacarlos-Nualla, began the program with a welcome greeting, followed by opening remarks from Maria Lilybeth R. Tanchoco, M.D. (Dean, College of Medicine)

The program was made more special with the message of the MCU President, Mrs. Luningning T. Estanislao, MHA, an inspirational message by Angelo C. Maduli, Ph. D (Vice-Pres for Academic), and Mr. Melflor A. Atienza, M.D., MHPEd, FPCP, FPSG, FPSDE (Dean, NTTC-HP, UP Manila) as the keynote speaker.

Moreover, Dr. Mary Ann Virola Leh (President MCUCOM Alumni Association) introduced MCUOMAA Officers. Another major highlight of this year's anniversary celebration was the Awarding of Top Students, the Recognition of Outstanding Faculty; "Gurong-Mediko Centralino Award," the Exemplary Contribution Service Award, and the Recognition of former deans delivered by Dr. Eivin B. Tolentino (University Registrar).

Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco Jr. (Vice President for Planning and External Affairs) attended the Ceremonial Toast that marked the 75th Founding Anniversary. Afterward, Evelyn G. Sta. Cruz, MD., Ph, D, MHA (Third-year level Coordinator) made some final remarks.

As the ceremony concludes, we take pride in our commitment to its legacy. We elevate our university's core values. Our spirit, intellect, and purpose undeniably fueled us in becoming who we are today.
