MCU Purple Fest 2026: Open House and Free OPM Concert

MCU Purple Fest 2026: Open House and Free OPM Concert

March 31, 2026

Purple Fest Returns for Its Third Year

For the third time, Manila Central University (MCU) opened its campus through MCU Purple Fest: Open House Fair 2026 – Volume III, held last March 28, 2026, in partnership with MYX Global.

The event welcomed the MCU community, including current students, alumni, and employees, as well as non-MCU students and applicants who were interested in exploring the University. As part of the experience, attendees also enjoyed a free, no-charge live OPM concert, making the event both accessible and engaging for all.

Inside the Open House Fair 2026

In the morning, attendees explored different college booths set up across the campus. Each booth offered interactive games, program introductions, and student-led activities, allowing visitors to better understand the programs offered by MCU.

Food and beverage merchants were also available around the campus, giving attendees a variety of options as they moved through the open house. Participating merchants included Better Blends, McDonalds, Chowking, Tomoro Coffee, Jessie Cane, K-runch Crest, Dairy Queen, Geno’s Food Hub, Beverage Central, Suzy Fruity and Snacks, Ohtako Takoyaki, Why Mango?, Hounds and Grounds Cafe (pastry), Ate Jo’s Food Corner, and Hotbox.

Live OPM Performances at the Centennial Gymnasium

As the event transitioned into the evening, the crowd gathered at the Centennial Gymnasium for the concert. Performances from Mayonnaise, The Itchyworms, Soapdish, and The Juans brought strong audience engagement, with attendees singing along to well-known OPM hits throughout the show.

Raffle and Meet-and-Greet Moments

Raffle activities were held before the start of the concert and during breaks between performances. Attendees had the chance to win items such as Jisulife Maltese Handheld Fan Life 7, Jisulife Maltese Handheld Life Fan 9, Multi Function Clock, Golf Space Powerbank, Escura 80s Snaproll, Kodak Charmera, Supremo T-shirt, and MCU Sweatshirt.

Selected winners were also given backstage access for a meet and greet with the artists, including photo opportunities.

Continuing the Purple Fest Experience

The University extends its appreciation to MYX Global and all participating merchants for their support in making the event possible and enhancing the overall experience, as well as to artists Mayonnaise, The Itchyworms, Soapdish, and The Juans for delivering a strong concert experience and bringing well-loved OPM hits to the campus.

With another successful run, the University looks forward to welcoming the community again in the next MCU Purple Fest.
