Manila Central University (MCU) reaffirmed its commitment to community service through a series of free healthcare initiatives as part of its 120th Founding Anniversary Community Outreach Program in November and December 2024.
On November 21, the MCU College of Medical Technology provided free laboratory services to residents of Brgy. Maysilo and Brgy. 143, bringing essential healthcare closer to the community. On November 28, the MCU-College of Medicine Alumni Association, Inc., in collaboration with the MCU College of Medicine and MCU-FDTMF Hospital, offered free X-rays and ECGs at Joseph Clinic Philippines, further extending medical assistance to those in need.
The outreach culminated on December 7, 2024, with a large-scale medical mission at Centennial Gym, where services in optometry, dental care, physical therapy, and medical consultations were provided. These efforts reflect MCU’s dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond the campus, reinforcing its mission of service and community engagement.
This initiative was made possible through the support of Avant Healthcare Professionals, Ambica International Corporation, Essilor, Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc., Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Inc. – CAMANAVA Chapter, PPhA Camanava, Pocari Sweat (Philippines), The Generics Pharmacy, Unilab Foundation, MCU-College of Medicine Alumni Association, Inc., and MCU-COO Alumni Association. MCU extends its heartfelt gratitude to all partners who contributed to making healthcare services more accessible to the community.
