Manila Central University (MCU) recently held an exploratory meeting with IMU Malaysia to discuss potential areas for academic collaboration.
The meeting was attended by MCU President Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., Dr. Ramil V. Flores, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Maria Lilybeth R. Tanchoco, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Dr. Evelyn Sta. Cruz, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine. Representing IMU was Prof. Vishna Devi Nadarajah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
During the discussion, both institutions expressed their intent to pursue a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will serve as a framework for collaboration across academic programs.
Initial priority areas identified include student and faculty mobility programs, research collaboration, and articulation pathways for credit transfer and further studies. These initiatives aim to enhance academic exchange, broaden research opportunities, and support the development of globally competent graduates.
This engagement underscores MCU’s commitment to strengthening international academic linkages and expanding opportunities for its students and faculty through meaningful global partnerships.
