Manila Central University (MCU) and A Child’s Trust Is Ours to Nurture (ACTION), Incorporated have come together in a new partnership focused on children’s welfare. This partnership was officially established on August 15, 2024, when MCU President Dr. Renato Tanchoco, Jr., along with ACTION’s Ms. Bayron-Llanes, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The signing ceremony was attended by key MCU officials, including by Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia, Head of the External Affairs Office; Dr. Maria Leonora B. Raboc, Faculty from the College of Medicine; Prof. Melvin D. Miranda, Dean of the College of Nursing; and Ms. Maria Elena C. Diasen, Associate Dean for Social Learning and Participation from the College of Nursing.
Dr. Tanchoco spoke about how even small efforts can make a big difference in children’s lives and expressed his excitement about the partnership. Ms. Bayron-Llanes from ACTION, Inc. also shared her enthusiasm, noting that MCU is ACTION’s first university partner and looked forward to the many collaborative projects this partnership will bring.
This partnership between MCU and ACTION, Inc. is expected to lead to several initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of children in the community. Both organizations are committed to working together to create positive change.
