Manila Central University (MCU) was honored as the Most Outstanding Citizen Partner in Community Work during the OCA Awards Night 2026 held on February 16, 2026, in Caloocan City.
The recognition affirms MCU’s strong commitment to community engagement and partnership-building in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
A significant contributor to this achievement is the College of Dentistry through its KATUWANG Program, which has consistently served the community of Brgy. 143. Through sustained outreach initiatives, dental services, and health education efforts, the program has strengthened the University’s impact in promoting public health and social responsibility.
The award highlights the value of collaborative efforts between academic institutions and local government units in addressing community needs. It also reflects MCU’s mission to deliver transformative education—one that extends beyond the classroom and into meaningful service.
Through continued partnership with the City of Caloocan and its stakeholders, MCU remains steadfast in its commitment to building empowered, healthier, and more resilient communities.
