Manila Central University (MCU), through the College of Optometry, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Shinhan University, Republic of Korea, on October 20, 2025.
The MOA formalizes a partnership that promotes academic cooperation between the two institutions—particularly in areas such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and collaborative academic programs. The agreement aims to expand international learning opportunities and enhance the global competitiveness of students and faculty in the field of Optometry.
Representing MCU during the virtual signing were Dr. Katherine M. De Mesa, Dean of the College of Optometry; Dr. Donnie Y. Saludes; Dr. Jennifer Lyn G. Viñola; and Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia, Head of the External Affairs Office.
From Shinhan University, the event was attended by Dr. Kyounghee Park from the Department of Optometry and Ms. Inseon Lee from the Office of International Affairs. Both institutions presented their academic programs and initiatives, leading to discussions on potential collaboration projects.
