Manila Central University (MCU), through its College of Dentistry, renewed its partnership with Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU) in Taichung, Taiwan, during the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held on November 6, 2025.
The event marks the second iteration of the institutional partnership between MCU and CSMU, reaffirming both universities’ commitment to collaboration in academic research, oral medicine, and professional development in the field of Dentistry.
The MCU delegation in Taiwan was led by Dean Dr. Maria Cristina Aurea G. Garcia and Vice Dean Dr. Maria Alicia T. Camacho, along with other Filipino representatives in dental education who witnessed the ceremony. The delegation was warmly received by CSMU President Dr. Chien Ning Huang, Prof. Chen Chun Cheng (Dean of the College of Oral Medicine), Mr. Chuan Huang Yu (Chairman of the School of Dentistry), Prof. Chia Tze Kao, and Prof. Tsui-Hsien Huang.
Attending virtually were MCU President Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco Jr. and Dr. Filipina B. Ng from the College of Dentistry. Following the signing, an academic discussion was held highlighting each institution’s expertise in oral medicine and exploring potential collaborative initiatives in education and research.
The CSMU College of Oral Medicine also hosted the MCU delegates for a campus and cultural tour around Taichung, further strengthening the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two institutions.
This renewed partnership underscores MCU’s dedication to expanding its global academic network and fostering excellence through international collaboration, research innovation, and shared learning opportunities in Dentistry.
