Manila Central University (MCU) has partnered with LC Foundation Inc. through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to establish a scholarship fund aimed at supporting underprivileged students. This initiative will provide financial assistance to deserving students, helping them achieve their professional dreams and bridging the gap between the rich and the poor. The scholarship fund will cover tuition fees for students who meet the eligibility criteria.
The MOA signing was attended by top officials from both institutions. Representing LC Foundation Inc. were Ms. Joyce A. De Sahagun, Executive Administrator; Ms. Nanette Buñag, Manager; and Mr. Chia-Hsiang “William” Liu, Chairman of the Board. MCU officials present included Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., University President; Ms. Giandelu Carissa E. Santos, Academic Affairs Director; Dr. Maria Lilybeth Tanchoco, Dean of the College of Medicine; Ms. Grace Belleza D. Alcala, Director of Student Affairs and Services; Ms. Mary Grace Antioquia, Head of External Affairs Office; Dr. Evelyn Sta. Cruz, Faculty of the College of Medicine; Dr. Ferdinand A. Mortel, Dean of the College of Medical Technology; Mr. Melvin D. Miranda, Dean of the College of Nursing; and Ms. Christine Samulde, Scholarships and Grant Officer.
This partnership marks an important step toward creating a more inclusive educational environment, with both MCU and LC Foundation Inc. dedicated to supporting the next generation of professionals through education.
