Manila Central University (MCU) has achieved a major sustainability milestone after being recognized as the 2nd greenest campus in Metro Manila in the GreenMetric Ranking 2025.
This distinction highlights MCU’s sustained commitment to environmentally responsible campus development, focusing on initiatives related to energy efficiency, waste management, green spaces, water conservation, and sustainable operations.
In addition to this Metro Manila recognition, MCU also ranked 10th in the National Capital Region and 15th nationwide, placing the university among the country’s leading institutions in sustainability and green campus practices.
The GreenMetric Ranking evaluates universities based on comprehensive sustainability indicators, reflecting how institutions integrate environmental stewardship into governance, operations, and campus culture.
