Manila Central University is proud to share that Dean Melvin D. Miranda of the MCU College of Nursing, was recently featured as a guest speaker in the Breakfast @ UMHealth Live Webinar Series, hosted by the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, on May 14, 2025, via Zoom.
With the session themed “Healthy Workforce for a Sustainable Future for Nursing and Health Care,” Dean Miranda delivered an insightful presentation focused on the critical need to build a resilient and well-supported nursing workforce.
Drawing from the Philippine context, he emphasized the importance of investing in nursing education, promoting strong leadership, and developing sustainable workforce policies. His talk highlighted actionable strategies that not only support nurses on the frontlines but also contribute to improved health outcomes in both local and global settings.
