MCU’s Initiative to go International

Manila Central University carries on its legacy of transforming lives through world-class education, and with that, the institution had the initiative to go international.

The Vice President for Planning and External Affairs, Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., with University Registrar, Dr. Eivin B. Tolentino, the Vice President for Academic, Dr. Angelo C. Maduli, and External Affairs Officer, Ms. Mary Grace Cancino-Antioquia paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Hisham Sultan Abdullah Alqahtani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Philippines and Iranian Ambassador to Manila Alireza Tootoonchian last November 16, 2022, to establish ties with its partners, particularly the embassies of MCU's international students.

Furthermore, a two-day event occurred last November 22 and 23, 2022, participated by MCU administrative officials. It was entitled: ANTENA Final Conference "Strengthening Policies and Partnership for the Internationalization of Education in Philippine HEIs," organized by the committee from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), De La Salle University, Universidad de Alicante, and University of the Philippines.

The conference aimed to increase the visibility of PHL In-Net at the national level. Also, to boost membership and support, disseminate information about the project, promote the IROs created, present the project's achievements to date, encourage dialogue on internationalization of higher education at the national level and induce policy making and funding.
