The MCU-College of Nursing welcomes 26 students from their international partner school, Stikes Budi Luhur Institute of Health Sciences for their international training and student exchange program.

The MCU-College of Nursing welcomes 26 students from their international partner school, Stikes Budi Luhur Institute of Health Sciences for their international training and student exchange program.

Amidst this pandemic, the two institutions were able to collaborate to design a program that benefited both Indonesian and MCU student delegates.

On July 25th, MCU-CON and Stikes Budi Luhur Institute of Health Sciences represented by Mr. Melvin D. Miranda (Dean and PNA President), Mr. Ando Fikri Hakim S. Kep. MAN (Head of Relationship and Collaboration Department), faculty members and students pay a courtesy visit at the Indonesia Embassy in the Philippines. They were welcomed by Widya Rahmanto (Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia) and Prof. Dr. Ir. Aisyah Endah Palupi, M.Pd (Education and Culture Attache’, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila, Philippines).

During the 3-day MCU hosted activities from July 26-28, 2022, delegates were able to gain knowledge and skills on the following: Based Wound Care which was facilitated by Mr. Rene Armazed Cantuba, RN, IIWC. Then Community Health and Nursing Informatics, Community Health Emergency Response and Home Based First Aid which were facilitated by Dr. Cyrill S. Consuelo, RN, LPT, MAN and Ms. Nieves, Almanon-Itliong, MPA (Chapter Service Representative Health/ Welfare/ WASH Unit-Philippine Red Cross Caloocan City Chapter). And Culminating Activity and Immersion at Brgy. Maysilo, Malabon City which was facilitated by Mr. Melvin D. Miranda, followed by closing and awarding ceremony on their last day.
