Manila Central University (MCU) proudly participated in the “31st CHED Founding Anniversary and 5th National Higher Education Day: Health Care and Financial Wellness Program” held on May 20, 2025, at the CHED Auditorium, CP Garcia, Quezon City.
The event aimed to promote holistic well-being among CHED employees and stakeholders by offering access to essential health care services and financial literacy education. It underscored CHED’s commitment to wellness as a vital component of a thriving academic community.
MCU’s participation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the College of Medical Technology, the College of Pharmacy, MCU-FDTMF Hospital, and PPHA–CAMANAVA. Student volunteers from the Colleges of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, along with MCU-FDTMF Hospital, provided a range of medical services to CHED employees and guests. PPHA–CAMANAVA further supported the initiative by providing essential medications.
Beyond their service, MCU’s student volunteers had the unique opportunity to meet and interact with CHED Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III, making the experience a valuable moment of engagement and inspiration for future health professionals.
This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals, highlighting the importance of cooperation in promoting wellness and development in the education sector.
MCU remains committed to fostering a culture of health, compassion, and partnership—empowering its community to contribute meaningfully to both local and national efforts in public service and development.
