On July 8, 2025, Manila Central University (MCU) and TESCO Dental officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Minerva Hall, LRC Building—marking the beginning of a transformative partnership aimed at advancing digital dentistry in the Philippines.
TESCO Dental, a provider of innovative dental technologies and solutions, chose MCU as its first university partner. This collaboration aims to integrate cutting-edge dental technologies—including CBCT imaging, CAD-CAM systems, 3D printing, and digital impression tools—into MCU’s academic and clinical curriculum.
The event was attended by Mr. Melchor U. Rivera, General Manager of TESCO Dental, and Mr. Charlie Joy D. Palalay, Chief Accountant and HRD Head, alongside MCU representatives led by University President Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr. Other attendees included Ms. Giandelu Carissa E. Santos (AVP for Academic Affairs), Dr. Ma. Cristina Aurea G. Garcia (Dean, College of Dentistry), Dr. Maria Alicia T. Camacho (Vice Dean, College of Dentistry), and Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia (Head, External Affairs Office).
Through this MOU, MCU faculty and students will gain valuable exposure to modern dental innovations and benefit from research collaboration aimed at improving oral health outcomes. The partnership also opens avenues for clinical practice using state-of-the-art equipment and aligns with the university’s goal of producing future-ready dental professionals.
This strategic move reinforces MCU’s commitment to innovation in dental education and its vision to lead in digital transformation across healthcare disciplines.
