Manila Central University (MCU) proudly participated in the DICT–ILCDB Partner Summit 2025 held on June 24, 2025, at the Huawei Philippines Exhibition Hall, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology – ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (DICT–ILCDB), this year’s summit carried the theme “Walang Iwanan sa Digital Bayanihan.”
The summit brought together educational institutions and national stakeholders that have played active roles in advancing digital literacy and ICT competency across the country. Highlighting inclusivity and innovation, the event served as a platform to celebrate collaborative efforts toward building a digitally empowered nation.
A key moment during the summit was the Ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing, where selected partner institutions—including MCU—joined in reaffirming their commitment to ICT development. Representing MCU was University President Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., who participated in the ceremonial signing and official photo opportunity.
In recognition of MCU’s unwavering support and contribution to digital advancement, Dr. Tanchoco received a Plaque of Appreciation on behalf of the University. He was also invited to deliver a short message on behalf of the partner institutions, where he highlighted MCU’s ongoing ICT-integrated initiatives and reaffirmed the University’s support for national digital goals.
The event underscored the importance of strong partnerships among academic institutions, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders in creating inclusive digital opportunities. MCU, through the leadership of its External Affairs Office and senior officials, remains a proud ally in the shared mission of digital empowerment and transformation.
