Manila Central University proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Mr. Sherwin Manguiat, Jr., a 4th-Year student from the College of Dentistry, who was recognized as a Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) Scholar at the 44th Annual Convocation of the PFA – Philippine Section. The awarding ceremony was held on June 1, 2025, at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel.
Mr. Manguiat is an exemplary student leader and a soon-to-be Junior Clinician. He is also deeply engaged in community service as a Katuwang-Community Volunteer and Leader. His nomination was endorsed by the Scholarship Committee of the MCU College of Dentistry, recognizing his consistent academic performance, leadership potential, and service to the community.
Representing Dean Garcia, a former PFA officer, Dr. Claudine E. Lagman, PFA Fellow, attended the convocation on behalf of the college to witness and support Mr. Manguiat’s recognition.
The Pierre Fauchard Academy is an esteemed international dental honor society that promotes leadership, ethical standards, and service within the dental profession worldwide. Mr. Manguiat’s recognition as a scholar reflects not only personal excellence but also the College of Dentistry’s dedication to shaping future dental professionals who lead with integrity and purpose.
