Manila Central University participated in the China-ASEAN Higher Nursing Education League – Nursing Quality and Health Development Conference, held at Zunyi Medical University in China from August 23-25, 2024. This event gathered nursing education leaders from across the region to discuss advancements in nursing education and healthcare quality.
Representing our university were MCU-College of Nursing Dean Melvin Miranda and Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia, Head of External Affairs. During the conference, MCU was honored as a founding member of the “China-ASEAN Higher Nursing Education Alliance.”
Dean Melvin Miranda was invited to deliver a presentation titled “Integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Care of Older Persons: Global and National Perspective.” His talk focused on the importance of integrating SDGs into nursing practices, particularly in the care of the elderly, highlighting sustainable and effective strategies.
MCU’s participation and recognition at the conference reinforce its leadership in nursing education and its dedication to contributing to global healthcare improvements.
