On April 29, 2025, Manila Central University held Lifeline 2025, a university-wide blood donation initiative at the Multipurpose Hall A–C, LRC Building. The event reflected the university’s strong commitment to community service, health advocacy, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17).
The initiative engaged volunteer donors from the MCU community, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and local partners. It aimed to foster a culture of voluntary blood donation, increase awareness of its life-saving impact, and contribute meaningfully to the national blood supply.
Lifeline 2025 was organized in partnership with MCU-FDTMF Hospital, Philippine Red Cross – Caloocan Chapter, and Veterans Memorial Medical Center. The blood units collected will help address the needs of their respective blood banks, supporting patients in urgent need of transfusions.
Through this initiative, MCU continues to reinforce its role as a socially responsible institution and build meaningful partnerships in support of sustainable development and public health.
