Students from the Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (EMC) and Communications programs of Manila Central University (MCU) gained first-hand insights into the media industry through a special tour and learning session at GMA Network.
The program featured a venue tour of GMA’s key broadcast facilities, including Super Radyo DZBB and Barangay LS 97.1, as well as TV studios for Balitanghali, 24 Oras, and TiktoClock. This allowed students to observe how news, entertainment, and radio productions are carried out behind the scenes.
A highlight of the day was the Speaker’s Bureau Session led by Senior Reporter Vonne Aquino. She shared her professional journey, discussed the perks and hardships of working as a reporter, and offered practical advice to students aspiring to enter the world of journalism. Her inspiring message encouraged students to pursue their passions in media with perseverance and integrity.
The visit offered students a meaningful opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world practice, reinforcing MCU’s mission of providing holistic, industry-relevant education for its learners.
