The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) pioneered to effectuate the aspiration of harmonizing fundamental educational guidelines and the pursuit of constant advancements to the academic standards of universities in the ASEAN region.

Moreover, the initial training was always scheduled virtually due to the travel restriction brought about by the Coronavirus disease pandemic. Nonetheless, the 9th AUN-QA Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment this year has reverted to its original format and is now exclusively conducted in person. The AUN-QA Training Course (Version 4.0) involved over thirty participants from six ASEAN countries: the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.
