MCU now has the World’s First Virtual Dissection Table
Manila Central University (MCU) College of Medicine now has Anatomage, the technologically advanced virtual dissecting table used by medical schools around the world.
Anatomage, will be beneficial for the students in their Anatomy and Physiology classes, among others. It has remote learning access which can now be utilized with the ongoing Online Classes. It will also be used during face-to-face classes once allowed by the Commissions on Higher Education (CHED). The MCU College of Medicine is committed to mold future physicians to have vital knowledge and skills in modern and advanced medical practices, researches, and post graduate studies.
Through this state of the art technology, students can view life size, three dimensional representations of human organs and body systems, allowing them to zoom, rotate, dissect and even overlay multiple systems all at once.
The orientation was attended by Dr. Ma. Lilybeth R. Tanchoco, Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Melvin R. Miranda, Dean of the College of Nursing, faculty of the different Colleges professors, administrators, and staff.
