The MCU-College of Optometry is celebrating another milestone as Dr. Jennifer Lyn G. Viñola, one of the faculty members of the college, was chosen by the World Council of Optometry to be a member of the Looking Towards the Future: Optometry Program in Advocacy and Leadership (OPAL) class of 2022. She will be joined along with other optometrists from the WCO regions during the 12-week interactive course, which will run from August 1, 2022 to October 17, 2022.
As a WCO member, Dr. Viñola will benefit after the completion of the course, as she will have a global perspective on how to advocate for optometry and will understand how to help in leading our country in addressing some of the challenges and opportunities facing her profession.
WCO, is an international membership-based non-profit organization for individual optometrists, industry professionals, and optometric organizations.
The College of Optometry and the entire MCU are so proud of this exceptional achievement of Dr. Viñola which will be shared as well to her colleagues and her students.
